MemProfiler - Memory Profiler (Trialware)

Process Memory Profiler is a powerful tool for finding memory leaks and monitoring the memory consumption. Have you ever a had problem to monitor the Memory Usage of a Process for a long duration. In this case, the default Microsoft Windows "Task Manager" does not come to your rescue as one can not use this in an unmonitored mode for required duration (It has been tested for a 48 hour period). Process Memory Profiler is such tool created exactly to cater this need as part of Endurance/Stress/ Performance/Memory Leak Testsing.

NIC_DataStats - Ethernet DU Meter (Trialware)

NIC Data Statistics Counter is a trialware and can be used for Application Profiling purposes. It captures the Ethernet card upload/download statistics at preset intervals for specified time and particularly is quite handy in Profiling application/Bandwidth usage in Citrix/Remote connecting Environments. Ethernet DU Meter provides an accurate account of the data which is flowing through your computer's network connection at any given moment. This produces the output in csv format and thus readout can be presented in both numerical and graphical formats, in real time. Ethernet DU Meter supports Windows 95/98/NT4/2000 and XP.

SrcCodeCnt - Source Code Counter (Freeware)

Source Code Counter is a freeware tool and can be used for VB/C/C++ source codes. The best part is that it can be used against a directory instead of a single file and it can even be used across the network drives too.

SiriSoft's File Splitter (Freeware)

SiriSoft's Splitter split large files (of any size or type), then easily rejoin without the use of this software. This file splitter software will easily break up large files (no limits, splits any sized file) for copying to floppy or USB flash, or sending via email, as anyone can recreate the original file without having this software. When you split your files, a small batch (.bat) file is created in the same folder with the same name and can be distributed with your split files, which will allow anyone to recreate the original file, with the original name. This software has been tested on very large files. It is designed to split at a fast speed and is very easy to use. It doesn't tamper with the OS parameters at all and is a stand-alone utility which need not require typical installation/uninstallations. (Runs on all Windows systems).

SiriSoft FileFinder (Freeware)

SSFileFinder provides a highly efficient interface for quickly locating / copying files using wild card based search criteria. By combining a search box with a copy feature of the File paths or files to the current directory, the program will instantly display matching files as you type the wild card based search criteria. Once the corresponding file list is found, the user can either obtain the list with full path as aprt configuration purposes or can copy entire files to the current directory. SSFileFinder is especially useful when you don't know the exact name of the file you want. In this case, you don't have to perform clumsy, repeated searches using the traditional, iterative interface.

SiriSoft ReplaceIT (Freeware)

ReplaceIT is a typical search and replace that looks through multiple ASCII files for a string and can replace it with another string. It has features like explicit subdirectory search, case sensitive and insensitive searches and can even provide you the information regarding list of files with number of replacements carried out in them.

AutoDial 1.1 Beta (Trialware)

SiriSoft's AutoDial, as the name indicates, once activated automatically re-dials a specified Dial-Up Networking (DUN) connection until your computer is connected to the Internet. It continuously monitor the connection and automatically reconnects if the connection is lost. AutoDial is not a replacement for the standard Windows dialer, but can be used in conjunction with standard Windows dialer and only automates the process of connecting and stays connected to the Internet. But please be aware that in trial version, you need to mention the Dialer name manually every time you start the system and the reconnection is limited to 5 times. Where as in regular AutoDial you need not have to do this every time and the system remembers your last choice of DUN connection and proceeds with that.

Network Snapshot (Freeware)

Network Snapshot is an outcome from my earlier experiences with dediacted IP address LAN. As a Project Manager, I need to allocate the static IPs to the team and need to maintain a log for the same. This was developed to deal with that situation and can get the Owner of the System from the IP address. This espicially highlights the Automation of the IP Address Range Search.

SiriSoft's PerfMon CounterList (Freeware)

PerfMon Object/CounterList is a freeware tool and basically meant for identifying the available Objects and Corresponding Counters of a System Under Performance Test. By default Microsoft's PerfMon provides these Counter List, but the limitation is that only one Object and it's corresponding Counters at a time and it's really difficult to consolidate all the required Counters and Objects at one shot. This freeware tool fulfills that task and gives all available Objects and corresponding Counters in Microsoft Excel viewable format.

As an extension to this, one can have a look at the SiriSoft's PerfMon too.

SiriSoft's TinyWebServer (Freeware)

SiriSoft's TinyWebServer is ideal for rolling out quick Intranet site hosting with minimal security features. It definitely goes down against Vulnerability Scanners, but would serve the general purpose Intranet site hosting and most importantly on performance front is not at all a RAM (memory) hungry application (~8 MB Memory Usage).

Unix_HW_Info - Solaris Hardware Info (Freeware)

Solaris Inventory is a freeware tool and can be used to find out total number of Harddisks installed and the amount of RAM installed etc. The best part is that it can find  the current Harddisk configuration with very safe commands unlike 'format' etc. This is an Automation tool created using a freeware and basically demonstrates how the telnet automation can be achieved.
